Lounge

The corner of the lounge where the television was to go has the highest density of cables outside of Node 0. It also unhelpfully is in the corner of two outside walls. Ben and Mikey had to carve out some lumps of plasterboard and the plaster used to fix it and then persuade the wires to drop down from the floor void above.

The two wires to the right are power and control for the electric curtains. We have tried to be careful and keep a photographic record of any wiring runs that are not horizontal or vertical. Fortunately, Ben's plastering skills were put to good use.

At the bottom of the wall, we were to end up with:

• Two external light connections fed through the wall
• Five cables for surround sound speakers (not shown here)
