Ben proposed this wall for the C-Bus installation, as it gave by far the easiest route for the large number of cables needing to go there.

The close-up picture of the CBus cabinets shows that we have one 8 channel dimmer and three 12 channel relays. Each channel is fed from a separate 10 Amp MCB in the Consumer Unit.
A relatively new addition is a set of four contactors for the external security lights. Initially, the MCB for the lights kept tripping because of the switch on surge of the lights. A UKHA regular suggested that rather than going for a slower acting MCB, it would be safer (for the C-Bus unit) to use a contactor arrangement.
